Our corrections policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it and we say so. We do not quietly edit a published page.
Any change that alters a verdict, a figure, or the meaning of a fact-check is recorded here with the date, what changed, and why. Typographical fixes are not listed.
The number of corrections we have issued appears on our homepage. We would rather that number be visible than flattering.
How to report an error
Tell us what is wrong and what the correct information is, with a source if you have one. We will reply, and if you are right we will correct the page and list the correction here.
